In Bangalore ...

A great city "Garden City" is a place where I always want to be in.

Karnataka has always been a nice and beautiful to me .....

I had quite a few friends over when I stayed there in Thavarekere, Bangalore .... The big boon I had was just a bike .... every time ... BROOOOOOMMMM ... go whereever you want ... whenever ...

There was Sherin Mathew, my company collgues and friend .... we used to comeback after having a very very hectic day at office ..... We were really good friends and enjoyed a lot those day ...

Frankly speaking I learned a lot with Sherin ..... atleast Javascript !!! What Sherin what say ?;-)

But it was roommate Sourav with whom I spent some most cherishable and enjoyable moments of my life. There is Madan Pub story .... Nandi Hill program .... Sanky Tank vigil ...... enjoying riding over Outer Ring Road .... Rajarajeswari Temple Tour .... Visiting Ragikutta Temple .....
and the lists goes on and on ....

Full Text Indexing in SQL SERVER 2005 using for PDF files

Objective
Uploading PDF files to SQL Server 2005 databse and Index them using full text index.

Analysis:
Since PDF files can be very big .... the best option is to save the PDF contents in a database table column of TYPE VARBINARY(MAX)

So create a table docs that having a
docs
DocID(int)
DocContents(varbinary(max))
DocType(varchar(10))

Now the third column DocTYpe is needed to tell full text index engine what kind of file we are going to search through.

[Basically in SQL SERVER 2005, full text search engine stores the in-built seaching indexs for known types. What are the in-built file types that can be full text indexed can be fount using a view named "sys.fulltext_document_types"

So Execute "select * from sys.fulltext_document_types" in your database to see what are the in-built available type for FTS. Normally you would not find an entry ".pdf" in the result set if the above mentioned query.

You need to install ADOBE PDF IFILTER 6.0 that is compatible to ADOBE PDF 7.0 version.
Then you need to load the features of the ADOBE IFILTER6.0
FTS your table.
Execute the FTS query.

So
STEP 1:
1. Execute the query "select * from sys.fulltext_document_types" to check whether ".pdf" exists in "document_type" column in the resultset.
2. If ".pdf" does not exists in "document_type" column in the resultset then
3. Download the ADOBE IFitler 6.0 and installt it. It helps SQL SERVER 2007 for indexing PDF files.
4. Now we need to load the installed ADOBE IFILTER 6.0 in our SQL SERVER 2005 so that we can FTS PDF files. For that execute the following SPs sequencially.

exec sp_fulltext_service 'verify_signature', 0

exec sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources',1

5. Now please execute select * from sys.fulltext_document_types and make sure that an entry ".pdf " is there in "document_type" column in the resultset

Just saw today ... Taj was selected among new seven wonders .... as it is the greatest symbol of - Love & Passion! ...... Thanks to Mogul Great Shahajahan having built this awesome monument ...... I was thinking whether I would do such a thing as Great Shahajan did.

Nope ....... Because love is not the heart of life ... just a part of life ......

Experience in Mysore

City that beckons me

It was a partial rainy day when Chamundi Express showed me the beautiful Mysore Junction. The first day it was like a WONDER to me as for the first time I enjoyed what it means if people say that a CITY is GREEN!!! Wherever I gazed it was just like a feast of my eyes...... I wonder whether Manirathnam (the famous southern movie director who made the movie ROJA that changed my life to a great extend. It was the effect of watching the movie ROJA at the age of somewhat 14 or 15 when I got my first inspiration to become a Software Engg. as the Hero of ROJA was a Software Professional and also started admiring the southern beauties irrespective of peoples or nature) made film was made for me only!!!! :-)

Initial days were just like very apprehensive. As all the way a new place new people new culture ... it was totally different everywhere.

But everything greatly changed once I was landed @KEONICS........ @YADAVGIRI!!!

There again it was a fun with some gem people like JD, ND, Sabitha, Mithun S, Pruthvi C K , Deepa V , Smrithi N, Shilpa S G, Shalini K. They were my first group of friends whom I had opportunity to interact with very closely... I discovered that they were all the way very different ... what I liked was they never know WHAT is A 'ADDA' ( ADDA=time pass without any reason) ... all are very focused to their career.... very much proficient in English(by this line what I mean they are keeping their foot with the time.) Though I have always been a good student rather above average student I discovered that the most mediocre student among that group was much better than me..... I started feeling very low.

But as you know I never give up!!!!! :-)

I just told myself.... be like them.... I indeed was very much influenced by those group of friends.... HATS OFF to YOU ALL my KEONICS friends ......

I was discovered in Mysore ..... and when I came back to West Bengal, I realized that it was a lifetime experience anyone could get....

I am very much greatful to my GOD.... who alloed me to have a great experience like this ....

Hey Mysore ......... no albida.... :-) I will be back .........................

Because life always goes on..... and you never know which direction it could take... with a pleasant surprise EVERYTIME!!!!
